The community of Silway-8 in Polomolok, South Cotabato, was filled with a profound sense of gratitude on March 28, 2026, as the local Seventh-day Adventist Church reached a triple milestone. Under the resonant theme, “Built by Faith: A House Dedicated, A Church Celebrated, A Mission Continued,” the congregation held a combined turnover ceremony, church dedication, and its 3rd anniversary celebration. The event served as a powerful testimony to three years of rapid growth and the unwavering dedication of a community committed to establishing a permanent sanctuary for worship.

The day was graced by distinguished leaders and supporters who have been instrumental in the church’s journey. Among those in attendance were Pastor Danielo Palomares, president of the South-Central Luzon Conference (SePUM), Sister Meriam Abella, and Dr. Evangeline Abella-Pontong, who represented the Mackenzie Team. Pastor Efren Tamayo also joined the festivities, adding to the atmosphere of encouragement. Their presence underscored the collective effort required to transform a vision into a physical reality, honoring the sacrifices of both local members and external partners who contributed their resources and prayers.
In a stirring dedication message, Pastor Danielo Palomares reminded the congregation that while the completion of the building is a triumph, the true “temple” is the spiritual community within its walls. He emphasized that the beauty of the structure should be matched by the strength of the members’ faith and their commitment to the Great Commission. He urged the Silway-8 family to view this dedication not as a finish line, but as a launching pad for deeper ministry and more expansive outreach within the neighborhood.
As the ceremony concluded, the atmosphere was one of renewed purpose. The Silway-8 Seventh-day Adventist Church has officially transitioned from a fledgling congregation to a settled beacon of hope in South Cotabato. With their new house of worship formally dedicated to God, the members have reaffirmed their commitment to live out their mission, ensuring that the legacy of faith built over the last three years continues to grow and serve the community for generations to come.
