SMM: Matutum View Academy Celebrates 58th Founding Anniversary and Grand Alumni Homecoming

In a vibrant display of faith, fellowship, and nostalgia, Matutum View Academy (MVA) marked its 58th Founding Anniversary and Grand Alumni Homecoming from April 1โ€“4, 2026. The four-day event drew hundreds of former students, faculty members, and guests back to the campus nestled at the foot of Mt. Matutum, transforming the grounds into a hub of joyous reunions and spiritual renewal. Under the theme of service and excellence, the celebration served as a bridge between the institutionโ€™s storied past and its promising future.

The festivities kicked off with a spirited motorcade through the local community, signaling the start of a packed itinerary. From the opening ceremonies to the emotional batch testimonies, the atmosphere was one of profound gratitude. Alumni from across the decades shared stories of how MVAโ€™s faith-based education served as their foundation for success. The Matutum View Academy Chorale provided a melodic backdrop to the event, delivering cultural and musical performances that highlighted the enduring artistic talent nurtured within the schoolโ€™s walls.

Beyond the formal programs, the homecoming emphasized “camaraderie in motion.” Participants engaged in a diverse array of activities, including a community fun run, social nights, and energetic ball games that pitted different batches against one another in friendly competition. These moments of play were balanced by quiet reflection during daily devotionals and a moving religious concert. The celebration reached its spiritual peak during the Sabbath program, where the MVA community gathered in unified worship to offer thanks for nearly six decades of divine guidance and academic growth.

The event culminated in a solemn oath-taking ceremony, where alumni and stakeholders pledged their continued support to the academyโ€™s mission. As the 58th anniversary concluded, it left behind more than just memories; it reinforced a lifelong bond among generations of students, all united by the values of faith, excellence, and service that define Matutum View Academy.
