On February 17, 2026, the Bagacay Seventh-day Adventist Church in Alabel became a hub of hope and healing as the Womenโs Ministry of the Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) Compound Church conducted a comprehensive community outreach. Guided by the principle of living out the gospel through tangible service, the initiative sought to address the diverse needs of the local population, moving beyond traditional worship to provide practical, life-changing support.
A primary focus of the day was the free health clinic, where volunteers provided essential wellness services. Community members received blood pressure monitoring and general health assessments, reflecting the Adventist Church’s long-standing commitment to holistic ministry. By prioritizing physical well-being alongside spiritual care, the Womenโs Ministry demonstrated that a healthy body is a vital foundation for a vibrant life.

The outreach also addressed complex social needs by providing free legal counsel. Volunteer legal professionals were on hand to offer guidance on personal and family matters, helping residents navigate legal uncertainties with clarity and reassurance. This rare access to professional advice empowered individuals to better understand their rights and responsibilities, offering a sense of security to those facing difficult circumstances.

Adding a touch of joy to the event, the ministry organized a gift-giving program. Thoughtfully prepared care packages were distributed to families, serving as a material expression of Godโs love and the churchโs sincere concern for the community’s welfare. These simple acts of generosity did more than provide supplies; they fostered a deep sense of belonging and strengthened the bond between the Bagacay residents and the SMM Compound Church. Through this day of dedicated service, the Womenโs Ministry reaffirmed that faith is most powerful when it is active, personal, and rooted in the heart of the community.
