SMM: Adventist Professionals Unite for a Higher Purpose

There is a unique beauty that emerges when professional expertise meets a servantโ€™s heart, and on January 25, 2026, Wongโ€™s Hall in General Santos City was filled with exactly that spirit. More than 40 engineers, architects, and master tradespeople gathered at the Southern Mindanao Mission Headquarters for a landmark event: the First Mission-Wide Adventist Engineers and Architects Grand Fellowship. This gathering was far more than a simple professional meet-and-greet; it marked the official birth of a dedicated ministry designed to unite visionary designers and skilled handsโ€”including masons, electricians, plumbers, and techniciansโ€”into a cohesive force for the gospel. By organizing into a mission-ready team, these professionals have committed to ensuring that whenever a church project or a new congregation is established, a complete and qualified workforce is ready to turn those spiritual visions into physical reality.

The day was defined by a shared sense of excellence and a deep commitment to the biblical mandate of working “as unto the Lord.” Drawing inspiration from Ecclesiastes 9:10, participants engaged in strategic discussions and collaborative planning, reinforcing the idea that every blueprint and every brick laid is an act of worship. This initiative echoes the counsel of Ellen G. White, who emphasized that every talent and skill entrusted by God should be used for His glory. As the fellowship concluded, the atmosphere was thick with a renewed sense of dedication to Christโ€™s mission. By combining technical precision with Christian love, these professionals have demonstrated that their careers are not just jobs but powerful tools for building the kingdom of God across Southern Mindanao.
