On July 17–18, 2026, the Adventist Young Professionals of Southern Mindanao Mission successfully conducted a two-day community outreach in Elnaw, Lake Sebu, dedicated to serving the physical and spiritual needs of the local residents. The initiative was a multifaceted effort that combined essential humanitarian aid with spiritual fellowship, featuring free medical check-ups, circumcision services, feeding programs, and educational health lectures led by medical professionals. Beyond these practical interventions, the volunteers spent the Sabbath in worship and fellowship with the community and the district pastor, emphasizing a holistic approach to service that prioritizes both bodily nourishment and spiritual encouragement.
This outreach highlights the commitment of the AYP to extend their ministry far beyond church walls, fostering meaningful connections through dedicated service and presence. As noted in the update, “The outreach in Elnaw serves as a reminder that ministry can take many forms, from providing medical care and nourishment to simply being present, listening, worshiping, and sharing hope.” By integrating health services with messages of faith, the team successfully demonstrated their mission to care for the community while ultimately giving glory to God as the source of their strength and opportunity to serve.
