The Adventist Youth Ministry of the Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) reached a significant milestone in its journey toward spiritual renewal on March 14, 2026. Gathering at Wongโs Building within the SMM Compound, 130 passionate youth leaders participated in the Mission-Wide FCamp Facilitators Training. This intensive preparation sought to equip these individuals for the upcoming Mission-Wide Friendship Camp, scheduled to take place at Matutum View Academy from April 12โ18, 2026. Guided by the theme “Keeping and Acting the Faith by Bringing Others Transformed in Christ (KABOT),” the training underscored the vital necessity of leadership rooted in faith and the practical skills required to mentor the next generation.

Throughout the day, guest speakers Pastor Nikko Naduaran, Pastor Mark Gomez, and Pastor Mark Pueblas led a series of sessions that moved beyond basic logistics to the heart of servant leadership. The curriculum covered essential “doโs and donโts” for facilitators, focusing on effective communication, conflict resolution, and the importance of physical and mental readiness. The speakers emphasized that a facilitatorโs role is not merely administrative but deeply spiritualโserving as a bridge for campers to find a safe, welcoming, and life-changing environment. By fostering meaningful relationships and maintaining a Christ-centered approach, these leaders were challenged to become instruments of transformation during the week-long camp.

The program concluded with a powerful commitment ceremony, where participants dedicated their talents and time to the mission of the Adventist Youth Ministry. This spiritual highlight reinforced their roles as living examples of faith, ready to guide campers toward a deeper relationship with Christ. As the Southern Mindanao Mission looks forward to the gathering at Matutum View Academy, this training stands as a testament to their commitment to nurturing strong spiritual growth and lasting friendships among the youth.
