Lights, Camera, Faith! The Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) Communication Department recently hosted the highly anticipated Adventist Communication Training (ACT) 2025. Held at Wong’s Hall in General Santos City, the event drew in communicators from across the mission, all eager to enhance their skills in spreading the gospel through modern media.

The energy in the room was palpable, with a shared passion for mission and media that was inspiring to see. Participants immersed themselves in a comprehensive training program designed to equip them with practical knowledge and Christ-centered perspectives on communication. Seasoned media professionals and Hope Channel leaders took center stage as resource speakers, inspiring participants with their wealth of experience and expertise. Their Christ-centered approach to modern communication resonated deeply with the attendees, providing valuable insights and guidance for their own communication journeys.

One of the highlights of Adventist Communication Training was the exclusive studio production experience at the Hope Channel Studio. Participants had the rare opportunity to step into the world of real-time media production, where they operated cameras, managed lights and audio, and even practiced news anchoring on-camera.
This hands-on experience was a game-changer for many participants, who left with a newfound confidence and creativity in communicating God’s story, and this training emphasized the importance of using modern tools and Spirit-led creativity to spread the gospel.

The gospel, participants were reminded, is not just for the pulpit but for every platform that can speak of hope, truth, and salvation. This mindset shift empowered communicators to think outside the box and explore new ways to share God’s story with their communities. Young and old communicators alike returned to their churches empowered to tell God’s story in innovative and effective ways. Armed with modern tools and Spirit-led creativity, they are now better equipped to spread the gospel through various platforms.
The training fostered a sense of community among participants, who shared their experiences, insights, and ideas for effective communication. This camaraderie will undoubtedly continue to inspire and motivate them as they spread the gospel through their work.
With the skills and knowledge gained from this training, communicators are now poised to reach a broader audience with the gospel. Their newfound confidence and creativity will enable them to craft compelling stories that resonate with people from all walks of life. This impactful training will be felt far beyond the walls of their churches, as communicators continue to develop their skills and share their stories with the world.
Adventist Communication Training 2025 has left an indelible mark on the lives of its participants, empowering them to become more effective communicators of God’s story.
